Update on Goals - four months on

Mihi ki te ao :)

Okay

Goal one - getting preggers - the goal was to go away overseas and then come back and try to get pregnant asap - well all is on track - not pregnant but trying... dang!

Goal two - well we refinanced our whare but did not get enough cash to pay for major renovations - however I held a party at my house for a friend and managed to nearly burn down the kitchen...  okay so why is this a good thing?  Well because of the fact that insurance then bought us a new oven and had to renovate a portion of the kitchen... ahhh yeah!

Goal three - Refinance - DONE!  COMPLETED WOO HOO!!  We have an extra $1000 per week because of our new mortgage arrangement... gotta love that!

Goal four - Attend the indigenous HR conference - did it, loved it!  Have been home now for just going on a week and a half.  Met some pretty amazing people and really loved my time away... :):):):)

Goal five - send my whanau to the Gold Coast - DONE!!!  my partner and daughter traveled over to GC whilst I jaunted all the way to the other side of the earth...

Goal six - travel overseas this year - DONE COMPLETED FINITO, KUA OTI!!!  and several other ways of saying it :)  Awesome...  gotta love that - I'm already planning my next move :)

Goal seven - weigh 65kg by 31 December 2008 - I am six kilos closer to this goal than I was at the beggining of the year but I'm really not where I should be by now.  I've picked back up on the tracking what I'm eating and I bought myself some new shoes this morning.  I'm going to get up in the morning and walk to work...  gotta take wipes etc cause we don't have a shower - however I'll be fine and it won't kill me :)  I am going to freaken well achieve this goal if it kills me!!!

Alright that's me for now... ciao bella!

Update on my goals - progress report

Okay so I thought that I'd do a monthly progress report on my goals so that I ensure that I continue to strive towards achieving them.

1. Getting pregnant - I've been tracking my menstrual cycle for the first time in my life and there is a possibility that I might be preggers right now.. like by a few days!
I'm losing weight which is always a plus for getting pregnant and having a healthy pregnancy and baby!!

2. Complete major renovations to our whare - okay goal 3 will also be covered off in this one because we've received approval for a debt consolidation loan which will leave us with $13k to do essential renovations.

3.  as per goal 2 - rapt!

4.  travel quotes have all been signed off on!!! YIPPEE - totally bummed that only two of us are allowed to go because I was really excited about a group going - but kei te pai - it would have cost in excess of $28k!!!

5.  Totally on track for the Gold Coast trip for tane and pepe.  I've got a quote for travel, car rental and theme park passes - all good...

6. Travel overseas this year - not only is this covered by goal 4 but my friend who joined WW with me is keen to go to Tonga in July - rapt!  Once all the refinancing goes through, I'll get her commitment and then book with my CC

7.  Weigh 65kg by 31st December 2008 - I have lost 6,5kg so far and I've only got 40.6kg to go - one week at a time.  Even if I get hapu I will still continue with the weigh ins and healthy eating and exercising.

Oh yeah one more time!

I'm really rapt with myself!  Two nights in a row our daughter is tucked up soundly in her bed... fed, washed and snug as a bug.

I don't know why I can't keep up the routine when he's home?

I'm so proud of myself

Today my partner went away for five days and four nights.  Up the river to work with rangatahi to be precise.

Now you're probably thinking "and what?" what's the big deal right, well actually this is a big deal to me, because my partner is the #1 caregiver for our daughter.  He gets her up every morning and gets her dressed, gets her breakfast, brushes her teeth and drops her off at punanga.  I'm spoilt!

I get to blow dry my hair, and just worry about getting myself ready.

So him going away for the week is a big deal to me.

I'm really proud of myself because I got our baby washed, fed, dressed for bed and in bed AND asleep all before 7.30pm tonight!

I ROCK!
