Okay - so for the last few weeks I have been completely slack! I have allowed the busy-ness of work take over my life and have used it as an excuse not to exercise!
My weekly schedule normally involves at least two nights of Zumba and one night of Yoga but for the past month I haven't consistently done anything!
I've just spent this weekend at home and doing a bit of soul searching - I'm going to get back on this weight loss waka - I am gosh darn it!!!!

Healthy Lifestyle Programme
I have started a six week healthy lifestyle programme through work. It involves weekly seminars and two exercise sessions per week.
Today I did four laps of Cook Gardens in 17 minutes... Not bad and I know that I could definitely push myself to go faster.
Later on, after work, I went to Zumba and got a really awesome workout!

106.6kgs
As the title suggests, this is my starting weight... and gosh dang it, this is the year that I am going to finally kick all of these excess kilos that I've been carting around with myself.
The overall goal is to weigh 70kg before the end of 2011 and I am going to do it - oh yessiree!!!
I've already made some good progress starting out at 117.9kg at September 2009 when, after my second child, decided to do something serious about my weight. I went back to Weightwatchers meetings and started walking again, and I managed to get right down to 100.4kg by May 2010. Not a bad attempt I must say!
Unfortunately I have a little tape in my head that I think got stuck in there around 2004 when, embarking upon weightloss attempt number 23 (or so) I managed to get from 111kg down to 100.1, I boomeranged back on up... so getting back to that tape in my head, it plays this message that says "you'll only get down to 100kg and then you'll put it back on!" Despite the fact that I have spent the last 18 or so months seriously addressing my tendency toward negative self-talk, I couldn't fight that message!
And as the law of attraction would have it, I managed to fulfill that prophecy and find nearly 8 of the kilos that I lost!
But onwards and upwards I say!
While it's good to know where I've come from, it's more important to focus on where I'm going!
And I am going to 70kg-ville - I remember it's a nice neighbourhood and one that I plan to live in for many, many years to come!
